PANDORO.

Pandoro means ‘golden bread’ and is a light, golden sponge cake that is traditionally given to family and friends at Christmas and New Year. Originating in Verona in the 13th century, it is traditionally star shaped and is often served with a dusting of icing sugar so that it resembles the snowy peaks of the Italian Alps at Christmas.
