On a sweltering summer’s day in Italy, ice-cold gelato is virtually medicinal. Tartufi (or “truffles” in inglese) are southern Italy’s best-loved gelato creation – delicate yet deeply rich ice cream truffles. 

Coffee is an essential part of Italian life, so it is little wonder it has seeped into desserts like tiramisu and gelato. Tartufi caffè latte mirrors the flavours of the ubiquitous milk-topped morning coffee with a rich, coffee gelato at its heart, shrouded in a layer of silky smooth Fior di Latte gelato, made with the highest quality cream. Each tartufo is then hand-rolled in a light cocoa and almond biscotti crumb, adding a final flourish and a welcome crunchy contrast to the gelato.
