Black Olive Grissini
Baked in a small Piemonte bakery in the same elegantly-twisted local style as our classic Grissini, we’ve added two types of local-grown Ligurian olives to the original recipe — creating a crisp, authentically Italian nibble that’s delicious wrapped up in prosciutto or served solo with drinks for a simple aperitivo.
A rich twist on traditional Grissini
Wonderfully thin and crisp with a distinctively twisted rubata finish, these Piemonte-made Italian nibbles add Riviera and Taggiasca olives from neighbouring Liguria to our classic Grissini recipe.
Crafted with just a handful of ingredients — olives, extra virgin olive oil, soft flour and golden maize for a little extra snap in each bite — our artisan bakers lay the dough for each breadstick by hand, in small trays measuring just 60cm by 40cm.
For a purer taste, we use olives kept in olive oil (a little of which makes it into the recipe), and only add the fruits themselves at the last moment, to prevent them from being mulched in the dough and turning the breadsticks grey.
The result is a beautifully-textured snack with beautiful flavour notes and aromas of fresh olives. Ottimo!Learn More
